Sydney Summit 2022

On 7 February 2022, Veena will deliver a keynote address to the 2022 Sydney Summit talking about how a robust circular economy will help us achieve resilience, economic development, and employment as well as environmental, social and community goals.

Organised by the not for profit, They Sydney Committee, the event is a half-day leadership forum that will help to shape the agenda for the year featuring key leaders across NSW industry, government, communities and research.

She will explain that Sydney has what it takes to be a global exemplar and how we can we build on our local supply chains and ecosystems, supporting high-quality micro manufacturing, and market-led demand to achieve sovereign capability challenges.

Veena will also demonstrate that Sydney is showing how to use waste as a resource to create the value chains needed for a sustainable future, including some of her own UNSW SMaRT Centre 'waste to product' technologies and innovations that uniquely align manufacturing, recycling and waste management.
