CEDA State of the Nation webcast

UNSW SMaRT Centre Director, Prof Veena took part in this CEDA webcast as part of its State of the Nation series.

Entitled, Unlocking the potential of science x tech for Australia’s economic future, this webcast features technology speakers about how unleashing the power of science can boost economic outcomes in addition to social and environmental benefits.

CEDA's 2022 State of the Nation forum on 6 September 2022 will explore five areas in which we face critical choices. 

  • Climate, energy and the path to net-zero 
  • Harnessing science x technology to innovate and drive economic growth
  • Advancing Australia's health tech opportunity
  • Improving our nation's cyber resilience and alliances
  • Shaping our workforce of the future: policy, practice and problem-solving.  

Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Anthony Albanese will open the forum, setting the scene for government priorities as they continue to implement their agenda across climate, jobs, healthcare, childcare and the cost of living while also taking the landmark step of implementing the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
